Bearny integrates with the Google Health API to collect wearable health metrics for rehabilitation monitoring. This section explains how we handle data obtained through Google APIs.
Scopes requested and their purpose:
https://www.googleapis.com/auth/googlehealth.activity_and_fitness.readonly —
Provides daily step count, walking distance, calories burned, active minutes, exercise sessions, and heart
rate zone data. Used to track whether the patient is meeting their prescribed movement goals and exercising
at the correct intensity during rehabilitation.
https://www.googleapis.com/auth/googlehealth.sleep.readonly —
Provides sleep duration, sleep stages, time actually asleep, and number of awakenings. Sleep quality is a
key recovery indicator in post-surgical rehabilitation.
https://www.googleapis.com/auth/googlehealth.health_metrics_and_measurements.readonly —
Provides resting heart rate, heart rate variability (HRV), and body weight. These metrics are used by the
physiotherapist to monitor cardiovascular recovery and track clinically relevant body composition changes
during rehabilitation.
